Bonnie Braund, owner of Four Legged Rascals is a certified instructor through the Michigan Humane Society, a certified Canine Good Citizen (CGC) evaluator, a mentor for Animal Behavior College and Catch Canine Trainers Academy, and member of American Pet Dog Trainers (APDT).  She graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors Degree in Zoology and an emphasis in Animal Behavior.

Hired by the Michigan Humane society in 1995, Bonnie had the opportunity to work with animals in various positions including adoption counselor and shelter manager.  In 2001, she worked for the Michigan Humane Society’s behavior and training department, the Pet Education Center, until it closed in 2008.  There she conducted animal handling and stress reduction seminars for MHS staff and volunteers.  Managing a team of volunteers, she ran the Pet Education Center’s Behavior Help Line.  Bonnie taught various obedience classes, a specialized class just for small dogs, private lessons, and behavior consultations for problem behavior in dogs.  In addition to working for MHS, Bonnie also volunteered as a foster home for dogs and cats.

Bonnie has been training  since 2001 and teaches basic to advanced obedience classes and one night seminars.  In addition, she offers in-home training and testing for the Canine Good Citizen certification.  Bonnie enjoys spending time with her family including her dog, Ivy and her four cats.
